Appointment & Billing Details

• Cost: The cost of a new patient consultation, the second and third appointments are $435 each. After these initial three visits, the cost of a follow-up visit is $350. The initial consultation fee includes all continued communication and any necessary paperwork, such as prior authorizations. There are no additional fees beyond the costs of each appointment.

• Telehealth: Patients may schedule follow-up appointments via telehealth, if they are physically located in the state of Illinois at the time of the appointment.  The doctor requests initial consultations to take place in person.

• Medicare: Dr. Trendafilova has “opted out” of Medicare for her services.  Some supplemental insurance carriers may provide some reimbursement for patients seen by a non-Medicare physician.  You can still use your insurance as you normally would, to pay for labs, medications, imaging and referrals that she orders.

• Commercial Insurance Plans: Dr. Trendafilova is considered out-of-network with insurance carriers. After your visit, the doctor will provide you with a “superbill” which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance carrier regarding your out-of-network benefits. You can still use your insurance as you normally would, to pay for labs, medications, imaging and referrals that she orders.
